UNDERSTANDING THE FALL

Hair loss and thinning have a common origin: the scalp.

Hair grows from a follicle rooted in the skin and follows a cycle. When this skin becomes fragile or the cycle is disrupted, hair thins and density decreases. Hair loss rarely has a single cause.

01

Hormonal fluctuations

Postpartum, perimenopause, menopause: hormonal balance changes, the growth phase shortens, and density decreases.

02

Stress and fatigue

Prolonged stress causes some of the hair to enter a resting phase. Hair loss often appears two to three months later, then regulates itself.

03

Seasonal changes

In the fall especially, hair loss can intensify for a few weeks while the cycle rebalances itself.

04

Aggressive routines

Harsh shampoos, heat, tight hairstyles: they worsen breakage and material loss on the lengths.

05

Scalp aging

It ages up to 6 times faster than the skin on the face. Losing vitality, it provides a less favorable anchoring.

06

An unbalanced scalp

Dehydration, weakened barrier, discomfort: it doesn't support growth as well. That's where density comes into play.
